Stephen von Muenster LLB (Hons) LLM (Media, Communication & Information Technology Law)

A graduate of Bond University, Stephen holds a Bachelor of Laws (with Honours) and is a graduate of the University of New South Wales with a Master of Laws (with Media, Communication and Information Technology Law specialisation).

Prior to joining the legal profession, Stephen pursued diverse alternative careers that included hospitality, the military and the Australian Federal Police.

Stephen has been practicing advertising, communications, marketing and media law since 1995. He has a particular interest and specialisation in marketing and advertising upon emerging interactive and digital new media platforms.

Prior to establishing VON MUENSTER Solicitors & Attorneys in 1998, Stephen worked for major Australian law firms and smaller boutique commercial firms.

He is a member of the Law Society of New South Wales, the Communications and Media Law Association, the Commercial Lawyers Association, the Advertising Federation of Australia, the Sales & Marketing Institute and his is the first and only lawyer to be appointed an honorary member of the Media Federation of Australia.

In addition to being a member of numerous professional and commercial associations, Stephen also volunteers his time as a senior panel solicitor to the Arts Law Centre of Australia, the not for profit national community legal centre for the arts.
