As outlined in our advertising clearance services , in addition to the ever increasing and complex regime of Federal and State legislation and general law impacting upon the business activities of the advertising, marketing, media, entertainment, promotions and technology industries, there exist numerous and often overlapping industry codes of practice and regimes of industry self regulation.
These codes of practice and regimes of industry regulation may have the force of law or may apply by virtue of membership of your professional body or simply apply on a voluntary basis.
For example, the advertising industry has a system of self-regulation, which commenced operation on 1 January 1998 and is managed by the Australian Advertising Standards Bureau.
